Bergenfield's annual Holiday Party and Tree Lighting will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cooperas Pond. The event is sponsored by TD Bank in conjunction the Bergenfield DPW Employees Association, Bergenfield Recreation Committee, and supported by Bergenfield Nissan.
During the hours of 1 – 4 pm., hot dogs, hot pretzels, popcorn, coffee, and hot chocolate will be available until supplies run out.
Santa Claus will be present to distribute gifts and candy canes for children ages 12 & under from 1:15 – 4:30 pm.
Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras.
There will be two horse drawn carriages and a children’s train ride with an elf. During the day, the Bergenfield High School Music Department will perform, as well as singer/guitarist Matt DeMarco, an 8th-grade 14-year-old from Dumont.
Bergenfield’s Christmas Tree Lighting will take place at approximately 4:30 pm.
*Donation of canned goods will be grateful accepted. Please bring a canned good to benefit the Bergenfield Food pantry.
