Bergenfield's annual Holiday Party and Tree Lighting will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cooperas Pond. The event is sponsored by TD Bank in conjunction the Bergenfield DPW Employees Association, Bergenfield Recreation Committee, and supported by Bergenfield Nissan.

The Bergenfield Community Center Building Fund will be running the annual 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun run on Sunday, November 13, 2011. For details and to register, please download the registration entry form.

VFW Post 6467 is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a dinner-dance on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2:00 at the Post. Reservations are $25 per person. For more information, call 201-384-6467 after 2:00.

Bergenfield borough officials were present at the Congregation Beth Abraham 16th Annual Max Sternbach Leadership Award Dinner, which was held on June 14, 2011 at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck.

The beefsteak dinner sponsored by the Bergenfield Community Center Building Fund Committee will be held on Friday, June 24 at St. John's Conlon Hall, Bergenfield. The evening will include entertainment, a tricky tray, and a 50/50 drawing.  Doors will open at 6:30 pm.

The Bergenfield Recreation Committee is sponsoring its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Memorial Park Pavilion, New Bridge Road, at 10 a.m. (rain or shine). Children ages infants through 12 are welcome.

The Bergenfield VFW Memorial Post 6467 Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a Town-Wide Garage Sale on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Registration forms will be available at Borough Hall, the Public Library, and the Post at 321 S. The Chore Volunteer Handyman Service performs minor home repairs that help keep Bergen County homeowners age 60 or over, and homeowners over 21 who are permanently disabled, safe in their hames. Over 40 volunteers, most of whom are senior citizens themselves, staff the three vans that travel throughout Bergen County every working day of the year. There is no charge for the repairs; the only cost is for the parts necessary to complete the job.
